If you’re not familiar with bass player and composer, Alberto Rigoni, you’re certainly missing out on one of the more influential and distinguished bass players in the international progressive rock and metal scene.
And what better time to be acquainted with Alberto’s work then with his latest project, the Vivaldi Metal Project.
The project is the brainchild of the aforementioned Rigoni and keyboard player, Mistheria, famous for his work with Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Rob Rock and Rock Z.
The two artists are looking to re-arrange and transform the classic work “The Four Seasons” by renowned classical composer, Antonio Vivaldi, and present the metal arrangement to audiences around the world with a backing band consisting of a whose-who of metals most famed musicians.
Artists currently on board for the collaboration include vocalist, Mark Boals and drummer, John Maculsco both famous for their work with Yngwie Malmsteen.
Though the project is still very new, the rate at which it’s growing with additional musicians and fan support is astounding! Since being announced in mid-December, the project has received almost 1,000 Likes on Facebook.
