As a bass teacher, scheduling and keeping track of students can be a tedious and time consuming process, especially if there are a hundred other things in your life.
The same thing can be said of the student as well. Whether they are an older player with a day job, family and a significant other or a kid just starting out on bass, other activities can get in the way of making sure that students make it to their next lesson on time or don’t miss it.
Where I’m currently working, a pre-college services non profit group, we manage almost 400 something high school kids. That is a lot of bodies to keep track of all of the time! As a result, we turned to using this online application called Remind101 to help manage all of our kids and keep them up to date on events that are coming up sponsored by the agency.
Now – let me say this now. I am not an affiliate for Remind101. I’m not getting any money for doing this post! I’ve simply had a good experience with their service and felt that it would be something worth sharing for music teachers looking to keep their students in the know of when their next lesson is, rather than chalking it up to memory or pencil-and-paper.
